SEGOVIA (Andrés), SCHUMANN (Robert). Estudio, transcrita en Cordoba el 26-X-913.
Cordoba 1913.
Manuscript
transcription of an Etude by Robert Schumann (83 measures in E, with
fingerings for both hands), written in ink on a strong music paper,
watermarked "A. S. S."; 6 pages, 31 x 21,5 cm.
On a separate double-sided sheet: "Reverie Schumann" (with fingerings), unsigned, but obviously from the same hand and period.
The
German guitar player and researcher Andreas Stevens was so kind as to
provide additional background informations on this manuscript : the
original title of the "Etude" is "Kleine Studie" (no.14 from Album für die Jugend, op.68), it was published by Romero & Fernandez under the title "Pequeno Estudio".
"Reverie" (originally "Träumerei" from Kinderszenen op.15) on the other hand appears to have never been published, but it is featured on Segovia's final recording.
